CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The American Legion will sponsor its annual Veterans Day Parade at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 in downtown Charleston.
Line-up starts at 9 a.m. on Kanawha Boulevard. All units should be in place by 9:30. Unit organization and practice will be held from 9:30 to 9:50 a.m., with units coming to attention at 9:55.
The national anthem will be played at 9:56 a.m. and will be followed by the parade kick-off at 10. A formal ceremony honoring veterans, active-duty personnel, reservists, Gold Star Mothers and Families will be held at 10:45 at Haddad Riverfront Park.
Exact unit positions will be given to all participants at least one week before the parade and will be identified on the ground the evening before the parade. Parade marshals will be available to assist in lineup.
