"Zombie Zoo"

Kanawha Individual Development Solutions (K.I.D.S.) will sponsor a "Zombie Zoo" from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at 216 Washington St. W. All supplies will be provided and the instruction is completely free. Mural artist Charly Jupiter Hamilton will teach kids of all ages a few imaginative painting techniques in the spirit of Halloween on site at his West Side Wonder Mural Project.

Art activities

Mountaineer Montessori School at 308 20th St. is offering free educational seasonal art activities for children during the Harvest Gift Boutique of Fine Art and Fine Crafts held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Charleston Woman's Club, 1600 Virginia St. E. The school will offer creative make-and-take art projects for children as part of its ongoing community outreach and service initiatives. Business After Hours

South Charleston Chamber of Commerce's next Business After Hours will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Appalachian Power Park. This week's networking event is hosted by the West Virginia Power. The cost to attend is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members and guests. Diabetes class

FamilyCare Health Center will offer a free diabetes class from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Eleanor site. Certified diabetes educator, Grace Gibson, will discuss diabetes, meal planning, carb counting, label reading, medications and complication prevention in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Friends and family are encouraged to attend. Registration is requested. Giveaways and refreshments will be provided. Call 304-421-3690 to sign up.

Pro-life dinner

West Virginians for Life's 15th Annual Pro-Life Rose Dinner will take place Nov. 15 at the Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa in Morgantown. The keynote speaker is Melissa Ohden, who survived a saline abortion and now shares her story of forgiveness and redemption. The event starts at 6 p.m. with a reception followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The cost is $50 per person and the West Virginians for Life Educational Trust Fund will benefit.
