CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia's Criminal Justice Statistical Analysis Center has earned three awards from a national group.
The Washington, D.C.-based Justice Research and Statistics Association announced the awards this month at its annual business meeting.
The center won awards for a study that sought to improve state methods for estimating crime statistics, for an online interactive data analysis tool, and for its website's appearance, content and technical quality.
The center provides statistical and data analysis to criminal justice system professionals and policymakers as well as the public. It is part of the Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety's Division of Justice and Community Services.
