CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for approximately 300 customers near Oak Hill in Fayette County. The affected area includes W.Va. 16 south of Oak Hill and all side streets in the town of Hilltop and the town of Glen Jean, down to the end of the West Virginia American Water service at Sun Mine Road. The advisory follows a water main break.
The Big Bend Public Service District has issued a boil-water advisory for the Summers Land Apartments following a water main break.
The Raleigh County Public Service District has issued a boil-water advisory for the entire Arnett Water System.
Customers in those areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.The boil-water advisory has been lifted for the Gauley River Public Service District areas of Alta, Dixie, Bentree, Bell Creek, Mount Olive, Belva, Beech Glen, Jodie, Rich Creek, Swiss, Lyon Creek, Peters Creek and Drennen.
