CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A grand jury has indicted a man who allegedly shot at officers responding to an armed robbery at a South Charleston apartment complex in August.
Tyquan Antonio Livermon, 20, of South Charleston, faces one count of first-degree robbery, burglary, attempted murder and wanton endangerment.
Court records indicate Livermon fired a 7.72 mm SKS rifle, similar to an AK-47, at police officers responding to reports of an armed robbery at the Southmoor Hills Apartments on Richland Drive on Aug. 9. No one was injured.
Livermon allegedly fled from police, who searched for him for about 36 hours.
He is scheduled to appear before Kanawha County Circuit Judge Tod J. Kaufman Thursday for arraignment.
Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Plants announced this week that the grand jury indicted 63 people. An indictment is not a finding of fact. It only means that grand jurors have decided that enough evidence exists to warrant a criminal trial.
