Riverside High School Project Graduation will be having a benefit gospel sing from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the school. Performers include The Praisemen, Brother's In The Cross, Courtney Perry and others. Concessions will be available in the commons area. Love-gift donations will be accepted. All proceeds will go toward Project Graduation.
Preceptor Alpha Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority will have their business meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at Canaan United Methodist Church, 401 Roane St. President Charlotte Bowling will conduct the meeting. Connie Meeker will be hostess and present a program. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Service is tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, containers for Manna Meal and magazines for the veterans association.
Kanawha County Public Library will have a program on the Affordable Care Act from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Public Library. Participants can meet with a certified application counselor who will be available to answer questions and help guide them through the registration process. This program is for adults and seniors.
The next meeting of the Kanawha County Republican Executive Committee will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Kanawha County Courthouse commission courtroom -- note that this is not the usual meeting location. Bring or send in the Pasta Palooza ticket money and any tickets.
The Putnam County Democrat Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the former Putnam County Courtroom, second floor. Members will discuss plans for the Christmas dinner scheduled for Dec. 9 at the Hometown Senior Center. Bring a covered dish and a friend to the dinner.
