W.Va. group participates in Global Plastics Summit
DAVISVILLE, W.Va. -- Representatives of a West Virginia economic development organization are in Chicago this week participating in the Global Plastics Summit.
Davisville-based Polymer Alliance Zone of West Virginia works to market the state's plastics industry and recruit plastic-related companies to West Virginia.
Polymer Alliance Zone President Karen Facemyer said in a news release that West Virginia is primed for growth in the plastics industry. She cites the state's proximity to markets, available infrastructure, low-cost feedstocks and a skilled work force.
The summit began Monday and continues through Wednesday.
