Poets meeting

Veterans Day program

The town of East Bank will have a Veterans Day program at 1 p.m. Monday at the World War II monument in front of Town Hall. All veterans and the public are encouraged to attend.

Garden club

Kanawha Estates Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ, Chesterfield Avenue. The program will include making a seasonal craft. Hostesses will be Joann Haddad and Margaret Taylor. For information, call 304-925-0778.

Flu shots for military

Boone Memorial Hospital will sponsor a drive-through flu shot clinic and Veterans Day tribute from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Madison Funeral Home. Veterans and all active military personnel will receive the flu shots free. The flu shots are $20 for all others for ages 36 months and up. Pinch Neighborhood Watch

Pinch Neighborhood Watch will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Pinch. Guest speaker will be Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Plants.

Sissonville Lions Club

Sissonville Lions Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 6823 Sissonville Drive. Sissonville High School Principal Ron Reedy will speak about the school's designation as a state Department of Education Success School. For reservations, call 304-965-7100.
