Sixth victim dies of injuries from Elkins house fire
ELKINS, W.Va. -- A woman has died from injuries suffered in an Elkins house fire that killed her husband and four children.
The West Virginia Fire Marshal's Office said Jennifer Chamberlain, 34, died Tuesday morning at West Penn Burn Center in Pittsburgh.
Chamberlain's four children and her husband, Alan Chamberlain, 29, also died of injuries suffered in the Oct. 28 fire.
The Fire Marshal's Office said the fire began in a couch on a side porch. The cause of the fire hasn't been determined, but the Fire Marshal's Office has said there's no evidence the fire was intentionally set.
Karen Hyde and West Penn Hospital spokeswoman Stephanie Waite told media outlets that Chamberlain's brother, Jeff Hyde, was released from the hospital on Monday. Karen Hyde is Jeff Hyde's mother.
