Beckley man filmed sex with teen, police say
FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. -- A Raleigh County man sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl and filmed the act, police in Fayette County said.
Isaac Thompson Broyles, 26, of Beckley, was charged with one count of third-degree sexual assault, one count of using a minor to film pornography, 10 counts of distribution of pornography depicting minors and 28 counts of soliciting a minor via computer.
Staff at a child advocacy center in Oak Hill called Fayette County sheriff's deputies in late April about a girl who claimed to have a relationship with a man from Beckley, according to a news release issued by Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler.
The girl handed her computer and cellphone over to deputies, who traced correspondence to Broyles, according to the release. Multiple police agencies executed a search warrant at Broyles' house on Friday. Police allegedly uncovered evidence consistent with evidence found on the girl's computer and cellphone.
Broyles turned himself in to Fayette County sheriff's deputies. He was arraigned in Fayette County Magistrate Court and released on an $80,000 bond.
