SC library programs
The South Charleston Public Library will host a basket sale featuring gifts for every age group beginning Dec. 2. Stop by the library at 312 Fourth Ave., South Charleston to view the baskets. The library will also have a Brown Bag Book Club meeting at noon Dec. 4 to discuss the book, "The Uncommon Reader," by Alan Bennett. Bring a lunch. The book is available at the library. Philanthropy open house
African American Philanthropy in Action will have an open house at noon Dec. 3 at the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation, 1600 Huntington Square, 900 Lee St. E. The AAPA is a giving circle made up of individuals and businesses committed to addressing the societal ills facing the black community in West Virginia.
The West Virginia Educational Broadcasting Authority will meet at 10 a.m. Dec. 4 at 600 Capitol St. The West Virginia Public Broadcasting Foundation will meet following the authority meeting.
