Train hits, kills Princeton man sitting on tracks
KEGLEY, W.Va. -- A Princeton man is dead after he was struck by a Norfolk Southern train.
The Mercer County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 44-year-old Delmar Eugene Chambers.
Media outlets report that the accident occurred around 2:39 a.m. Monday in the Kegley area.
The westbound train's engineer told police that Chambers was sitting on the tracks and didn't make any attempt to move. The crew was unable to stop the train before it hit Chambers.
