CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A state Division of Corrections inmate did not return to the Charleston Work Release Center after leaving for his job on Monday, authorities say.
John Edward Riblett left the center at about 8:30 a.m. for a work release furlough and did not return later as required, Corrections Officer Christopher Gillespie said in a news release. Riblett is described as being about 5-feet 6-inches tall and weighing about 195 pounds. He has salt-and-pepper colored hair and green eyes. He has a pronounced stutter when nervous or excited, according to the release.
Police issued a warrant for his arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Charleston Work Release Center at 304-558-2763.
