Pearl Harbor Day ceremony to be held in Charleston
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A ceremony will be held Saturday in Charleston to observe the 72nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The approximately 15 Pearl Harbor survivors remaining in West Virginia will be honored at 12:30 p.m. at the Lee Street Triangle, on the corner of Lee and Capitol streets.
U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin will be the keynote speaker and there will be live music, a 21-gun salute and a flag presentation.
The tribute is being held after the city's Christmas parade.
