Sex-crime convict cut off ankle monitor, police say
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A man convicted of filming minors in sexual acts escaped from a court-ordered GPS ankle monitor this week, police say.
Kelly Gerald Crosby, 31, was last seen at Harvest Pine Homeless Shelter in Charleston around 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release issued by Logan County Sheriff Sonya Porter. Crosby is on probation in Logan County.
Logan County probation officers called police after discovering that Crosby cut off his ankle monitor on Wednesday. Police have issued a warrant for his arrest.
Anyone with information about Crosby is asked to call 911.
