New mini-show features Irish band

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- This week's new "RFC MINI SHOW" is online now at the PopCult blog (blogs.wvgazette.com/popcult). Decomposing In Paris is a band from Ireland that found its way to The Empty Glass late last summer; it's comprised of two Irish natives and one fairy-winged Ashland, Ky., ex-pat.

The music is ethereal and trippy with a beat. "Radio Free Charleston" featured the band's "The Way It Is" on episode 190 in September. Now, from that same session, is the band performing "Personal Ad" and "He Loves Me."

Before the music, there is a brief promotional announcement for a special After ArtWalk Art Show by "RFC's" newest animator, Jake Fertig. His work will be on display from 7 to 10 p.m. Dec. 19 at Rival Cards and Games, 5206 1/2 MacCorkle Ave S.E. (near the old Southern Kitchen in Kanawha City).
