The Achievers' Class of the Fifth Avenue Church of God in South Charleston will open its Clothes Closet from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 21. Clothes are free to families and individuals in need. The Charleston Black Ministerial Alliances, in cooperation with the Partnership of African American Churches and Covenant House will give a Health Forum and Affordable Health Care Enrollment and Smoke Cessation presentation at 1 p.m. today at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 205 Donnally St., across from King Community Center. Lunch will be served at noon.
The Believers will be singing at 6 p.m. on Sunday at Parsons Chapel Church, 1449 Sixth Ave., West Side.
Julie Adams and Steve Hill will perform a concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Timothy's in-the-Valley Episcopal Church, 3434 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted. They have recorded 5 CDs of their music and will feature several selections at the concert.

The Charleston Black Ministerial alliance is creating a community choir for a musical cantata for the Christmas story, "Emmanuel."
