WILLIAMSON, W.Va. -- U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin will hand over property and cash seized from a Mingo County pill mill to the State Police on Monday.
Goodwin will present the forfeiture award to State Police Superintendent Col. C.R. "Jay" Smithers at the site of the former Mountain Medical Clinic in Williamson. He scheduled a news conference for 11 a.m. Monday.
The presentation is part of a federal investigation aimed at the former pill mill and its operator, Myra Miller. Miller, 50, was sentenced to federal prison in September for her role in the clinic's illegal operations.
