Jericho House helps family of seven

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Courtney and Sam have fallen on hard times. They and their five children recently moved to Florida for the promise of work for Sam. But when they got there, Sam's employer decided to move back to Michigan and they were left stranded.

Without work, Sam and Courtney and the children, who range in age from 2 to 14 years old came back to West Virginia. The family is staying temporarily at Jericho House, a transitional housing shelter in St. Albans.

Sam has found work again in West Virginia, but the family needs a little help getting back on their feet before they move out into permanent housing.

Jericho House has been serving families like Courtney and Sam in the Kanawha Valley for approximately 25 years.
