The Speakers Advantage Toastmasters Club meets every first and third Tuesday of the month at the Cross Lanes Public Library, 5449 Big Tyler Road, Cross Lanes. Meetings take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Club members work on improving their public speaking and leadership skills. Guests are welcome.

The Mountain State Wheelers is a group that rides on roads around the Charleston area several times a week when the weather is nice. Those wishing to join the rides should have a road bike and be in good enough condition to ride for several hours over typical West Virginia terrain and hills. Rides begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays from the UC Pharmacy School parking lot. Rides also are held at various locations on Saturday and Sunday mornings. New members are welcome.
