South Charleston Public Library will offer a Winter Storytime program beginning Jan. 27 at the library, 312 Fourth Ave., South Charleston. A Baby Lapsit program for children ages six through 23 months and their caregivers will be offered from 10 to 10:30 a.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. Toddler Time will be offered for children ages 2 and 3 and their caregivers from 11 to 11:45 a.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays and from 11:15 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays. Independent Toddler for ages 2 to 3 years without their caregiver will be held from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesdays. Independent Storytime for children ages 4-9 will be held from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. and homeschoolers are welcome. Family Fun Time is offered for children of all ages and their caregivers from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. on Thursdays. To register, call 304-744-6561.
Al-Anon holds open support get-togethers for those who have a family member or loved one with an addiction. Alateen meetings are for teens who deal with the alcoholism and/or drug addiction of a family member or friend. Al-Anon meets at 8 p.m. Tuesdays at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1105 Quarrier St.; noon Wednesdays at the Kanawha County Day Report Center, 900 Christopher St.; and 7 p.m. Thursdays at Edgewood Area, St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Drive.
