ALUM CREEK, W.Va. -- Two thieves wearing masks broke into a Lincoln County pharmacy before stealing medications early Monday, police said.
The pair forced their way into the Meds 2 Go Express Pharmacy at 762 Little Coal River Road in Alum Creek, which was closed at the time, said State Police Sgt. Michael Baylous in a news release.
Last month, the pharmacy's owner, Philip Michael, said he was stopping all sales of medicines that contain pseudoephedrine, a main ingredient in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Michael made the decision after pseudoephedrine sales at his pharmacy skyrocketed; the small pharmacy was the biggest seller of pseudoephedrine medications in the state in October.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call his or her local State Police detachment.
