First West Virginia Bancorp names interim CEO
WHEELING, W.Va. -- First West Virginia Bancorp has named an interim president and CEO following the death of Sylvan James "Dick'' Dlesk.
The Wheeling company said Monday that its board has appointed of William G. Petroplus in light of Dlesk's death last Wednesday. Dlesk was 75.
The board also has formed a search committee to select a permanent president and CEO.
R. Clark Morton also was appointed to succeed Dlesk as the board's chairman. First West Virginia Bancorp is a $325 million holding company and the parent company of Progressive Bank with nine branches.
