CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A man was killed Tuesday when he was struck by a vehicle on the Patrick Street Bridge, which crosses the Kanawha River between Charleston and South Charleston.
The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the bridge, according to Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle's driver remained at the scene and was talking with Charleston police officers. Police closed the bridge to investigate.
