One arrested, one critical in Logan shooting
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- An early morning argument between two men in Logan County led one to shoot the other, police say.
Christopher Ellis, 38, shot Ronnie May twice in the abdomen and then struck him with the gun, said Trooper J.G. Honaker of the West Virginia State Police.
The incident happened about 2 a.m. Saturday in the Wilkinson area of Logan County. The two men were friends, Honaker said.
May was transported to CAMC General Hospital, where he is in critical condition, according to police.
Ellis is charged with malicious assault and is in Southwestern Regional Jail.
