Maryland stabbing suspect arrested in Logan County

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A man wanted for an attempted murder in Maryland was arrested in Logan County Saturday afternoon.

The West Virginia State Police arrested James Monroe Madison II, 39, of Maryland, after pulling him over for speeding near Omar, Sergeant L.J. McClung said.

Troopers found that Madison was wanted for attempted murder and assault charges related to a stabbing.

Madison is being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail awaiting extradition.
