HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Cabell County is reporting its first flu death of the season.
The Cabell-Huntington Health Department said a patient died Sunday at St. Mary's Medical Center of influenza virus A and other health complications. Details weren't released.
People between ages 24 and 35 appear to be hit particularly hard during this flu season, Dr. Harry Tweel, the Health Department's executive director, told The Herald-Dispatch. He said the male patient who died was in that age range.
Tweel said there's still time to be vaccinated for the current flu season.
