CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for several thousand customers in the Barboursville area. The advisory is in effect for anyone who lost water pressure or experienced a disruption in water service Tuesday in the Barboursville area, including the Huntington Mall area and U.S. 60 to Ona. The advisory follows a water main break.

Customers in these areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.
