Testing continues, causing low water pressure
West Virginia American Water customers may experience low water pressure or no water as crews test and flush water lines today, according to Kanawha County officials.
Residents should still not be using tap water for anything other than flushing toilets.
This work is occurring at fire hydrants throughout the affected area, according to water company spokesperson Laura Jordan.
"Mostly the action you're seeing out is for sample collection," Jordan said. "It's a multi-step process that's being worked congruently with sampling out in the distribution system." The National Guard is assisting in this process.
