Gas leak reported near Sissonville
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Two families briefly left their homes after a reported gas line leak near Sissonville on Tuesday.
Sissonville Volunteer firefighters responded to a gas leak along Kanawha Two Mile shortly after 10 a.m. Crews from Mountaineer Gas were on scene at 1:30 p.m. repairing a damaged line at an area where several homes had been demolished, according to Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers. Two nearby families wanted to leave their homes and go stay with relatives as a precaution, a Sissonville Volunteer firefighter said. No one was injured.
