CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Candidates running for office have until midnight Jan. 25 to file for the May 13 primary election.
Kanawha County candidates can file Thursday and Friday during regular business hours at the County Clerk's office. The office will be closed Monday. Hours Tuesday, Wednesday and Jan. 24 will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours Jan. 23 will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Office hours the last day to file, Jan. 25, will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Candidates filing for office for Belle's town election May 13 may file for office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. today and Friday, and next week, Tuesday through Friday. Filing hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Jan. 23 and 24. Hours on the final day to file, Jan. 25, will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All filings through the mail must be postmarked by midnight Jan. 25.
