WVU ceremony to remember student who died
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- A bell-ringing ceremony is planned at West Virginia University in remembrance of a student who died on Christmas Day.
The Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity will hold the ceremony Friday morning at Oglebay Plaza on the downtown campus in Morgantown for Shane Travis Raines.
The 37-year-old Raines was a graduate student in economics. He graduated in 1994 from Nitro High School.
Relatives and friends of Raines and the university community are being invited to attend.
