Venison cooking contest

The Greenbrier County 4-H Leaders Association will hold their 10th annual Venison Cooking Contest, Bingo and Auction on Feb. 8 in the West Virginia University Building at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds in Lewisburg. The cook-off, bingo and silent auction will start at 4 p.m. The live auction will begin at 6 p.m. Activities for children and concessions will be featured. Youth and an adult division will be held this year with prizes. There is a $10 entry fee. Entry deadline is Feb. 5. Submit entry fee and entry form to Deer Cook-off, P.O. Al-Anon/Alateen meetings

Al-Anon/Alateen offers open and free support group meetings for those that have loved ones and friends that drink too much or have addictions. Al-Anon meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays in the Edgewood area at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Drive; Fridays at noon at Christ Church United Methodist, 1221 Quarrier St., Room 200; and 7 p.m. Sundays, the Legacy Study Group meets at First Presbyterian Church, 508 Second Ave., South Charleston.
