KANAWHA TRAIL CLUB HIKE: 12:30 p.m. Hike the Thurmond/Minden Rail Trail. Meet at 12:30 p.m. to carpool from Ohio and Randolph streets. The hike is approximately 6 1/2 miles on an easy mostly level old railroad bed except for an easy staircase area, up and over a rock area. There are good views of Thurmond. In case of bad weather, an alternate hike will be in Kanawha State Forest on Johnson Hollow/Logtown trails loop, which is approximately 2 miles.
