Kanawha County schools to reopen Tuesday
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- After closing down for more than a week because of the ongoing water crisis, Kanawha County schools will be back open on Tuesday, following Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday.
Students will be offered bottled water at school thru Friday and all school meals will be prepared without water.
An automated call said that schools have followed and completed all established protocols for flushing pipes and getting rid of contaminated water.
The last official restrictions on the region's water were lifted on Saturday.
