A gospel sing and bean dinner scheduled for Saturday evening at the Hansford Center has been canceled because of the weather forecast. The event will be rescheduled in the spring.
Extension service committee
The Kanawha County Extension Service Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Monday at the Extension Office located at 4700 MacCorkle Ave., S.E., Kanawha City. The meeting is open to the public. The agenda will include program updates and the annual approval of Extension Agents and county budgets for 2014-15. Democratic women's club

Live Well Charlie West
Live Well Charlie West will have a Corporate Cooking Challenge from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 31 at the Charleston Area Alliance, 1116 Smith St. Teams of three to five co-workers who are willing to take on five mystery ingredients and create a healthy, well-balanced dinner in 60 minutes, are sought.
