PARKERSBURG, W.Va. -- Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia has sold its former headquarters in Parkersburg to Siltstone Holdings LLC.
Built in 1903, the seven-story building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's been vacant since Highmark moved into a new headquarters across the street in 2009.
Siltstone Holdings paid $475,000 for the building and a parking lot, the Parkersburg News and Sentinel reported.
Parkersburg Mayor Bob Newell told the newspaper that Siltstone plans initially to locate offices in the building. He said having the building occupied is good for downtown businesses and the city.
Siltstone Holdings is affiliated with investment and advisory firm Siltstone Capital.
