CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for approximately 100 customers in the Williams Mountain area of Van, specifically Williams Mountain Road -- from Fire Tower Road to Prenter, Fire Tower Road and Williams Hill Road. The advisory followed a valve failure at a pump station, which drained the storage tank. Customers in those areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.
West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil-water advisory for customers in the Spring Valley area of Huntington. The advisory was issued for Spring Valley Drive, Whaley Court, Buena Vista Drive, Oak Lane, Sunset Drive, Shamrock Lane and Vista Crest Drive.
The McDowell County Public Service District has lifted the boil-water advisory issued for the area of Landgraff. It has also lifted the boil-water advisory issued Dec. 27 for the Havaco Water System.
West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil-water advisory for about 150 customers in the Loudendale area of Charleston. The advisory was issued Wednesday night for Kanawha Forest Drive (Loudendale Road) from Cane Fork Road to Kanawha State Forest, Cane Fork Road and Ferrell Hollow Road following a water main break.
