Kids' and Families Day
The Our Children, Our Future campaign will hold its annual Kids' and Families Day at the Capitol at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Brown Bag Book Club
Brown Bag Book Club will meet at noon Wednesday at the South Charleston Public Library, 312 Fourth Ave., South Charleston. The book "The Problem with Murmur Lee," by Connie May Flower, will be discussed.
The Charleston City Council of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday for its general business meeting at the South Charleston Municipal Court Building. The board will meet at 6:45 p.m. President Sandra Jo Medley will conduct the business meeting. All officers and committee members are to attend. Guest chapter will be Preceptor Alpha.
Ham radio license exams
Tri-State Amateur Radio Association will offer new or upgraded amateur radio license exams from the Federal Communications Commission at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Museum of Radio and Technology, 1640 Florence Ave., Huntington. All examination elements will be offered for all amateur radio license classes. A fee of $15 is charged per test. Pre-registration is not required; bring all necessary documents. West Virginia Institute for Spirituality will offer a seminar titled "Forgiveness: Letting Go" from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at 1601 Virginia St. E. The seminar provides participants with both theoretical and experiential processes to forgive past hurts and move toward integration. CEUs for social workers, nurses and licensed professional counselors will be available. Presented by sister Carole Riley CDP.
