SUNDIAL, W.Va. -- A section of W.Va. 3 in Raleigh County that's been closed for more than a month because of a rockslide could reopen soon.
Department of Transportation spokeswoman Carrie Bly said a contractor expected to complete cleanup and stabilization work over the weekend.
Bly said the Division of Highways expects to reopen the road near Sundial, with restrictions, by the end of this week. She said DOH would make temporary repairs and replace the guardrail. Permanent repairs will be made in the spring.
The road has been closed since three large boulders and debris fell from a hillside on Dec. 27.
