The Coalition of Retired Public Employees will hold its annual legislative rally at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the food court area of the Capitol. Breakfast will be provided. Legislators, members of the Board of Public Works and the governor have been invited to speak to the retirees.

New KCPL website
The Kanawha County Public Library is working with MESH Design, a Charleston design and development company, to create a new website to make finding and sharing library resources, materials, events and programs easy and accessible. The community is invited to share their thoughts about what they want in a library website by completing a short survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/kanawhalibrary. Survey results will help guide the website's redesign to make it more customized for library patrons. The survey will close Sunday.
The annual Heart and Soul Dip Dinner, benefiting the programs at the East End Family Resource Center, will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 22 at 502 Ruffner Ave. Treats, door prizes, food recipes, music and more will be featured. All food will be prepared with bottled water. A few menu items include: Presbyterian chicken, fried fish, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, smoked tomato soup, noodle kugel, wings and dessert.
