CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A St. Albans man was convicted Monday of battery and malicious wounding after he bit a State Police trooper in November.
A Kanawha Circuit Court jury deliberated 30 minutes before convicting Roy Dale McKean, 40.

Circuit Judge Duke Bloom will sentence McKean on March 12, said assistant Kanawha prosecutor Fred Giggenbach.McKean was also found guilty of fleeing with reckless indifference to the safety of others, fleeing on foot, operating a clandestine drug lab, obstructing and possession of substances to be used as a precursor for the manufacture of methamphetamine.
