CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Home Instead Inc. is seeking nominations for its Salute to Senior Service contest, which recognizes the invaluable contributions of adults age 65 and older who give at least 15 hours a month of volunteer service to their favorite causes.
The public can nominate and vote for an everyday hero through March 1. State winners will be determined by popular vote. A panel of senior care experts will then select a national Salute to Senior Service winner from among the state honorees.
Home Instead Inc. will donate $500 to each of the state winners' designated and approved nonprofit organizations, and their personal stories will be shared online on the Salute to Senior Service Wall of Fame. In addition, $5,000 will be donated to the national winner's designated and approved nonprofit charity.
To submit an online nomination for a senior age 65 or older who volunteers at least 15 hours a month and to view the contest's official rules, visit www.salutetoseniorservice.com.
