CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Three separate incidents overnight have knocked out electricity to about 1,200 AEP customers.
AEP spokeswoman Jeri Matheney said a tree that fell on power lines in Glasgow knocked out power to about 500 customers. The outage also affected East Bank Middle School, which was on a two-hour delay.
Matheney said electricity was expected to be restored by 9:30 a.m. today.
Power was expected to be restored by noon for 200 customers in Wayne County because of an outage in the Fort Gay area, Matheney said.
But electricity was expected to be out until about 11:30 p.m. for about 500 customers in Lincoln County after an outage in the Hamlin area.Reach Rusty Marks at rustyma...@wvgazette.com or 304-348-1215.
