Covered bridges discussion
Terri Lively, an Award-winning filmmaker and artist, will discuss the state's 17 remaining covered bridges at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Archives and History Library at the Culture Center, State Capitol Complex. A 20-minute video with highlights from her new documentary, "West Virginia Covered Bridges," will also be shown. The program is free.
Earth Day fundraiser
The Secret Sandwich Society and the Fayette County Green Advisory Team will co-sponsor a fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday to benefit the Ninth Annual New River Earth Day Celebration to be held April 19 in Fayetteville.
