BLUEFIELD, W.Va. -- A Bluefield woman has been denied parole in the February 2004 slaying of her father.
The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reports Kayla LaSala was denied parole Wednesday for the first-degree murder conviction of Michael LaSala, who was stabbed 107 times. Her case will be reconsidered within a year.
LaSala was 14 at the time of the slaying. She was convicted in Mercer County Circuit Court and sentenced to 25 years.
