CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A friend of a couple whose St. Albans business was severely damaged by a rockslide on Wednesday has set up a fund to help them recover from the loss.
Pins 'N Rods Customs, at 503 MacCorkle Ave. near the intersection of U.S. 60 and W.Va. 817, was damaged on Wednesday when the hillside behind the business collapsed and crashed into the back of the building. Several cars and about 20 motorcycles were damaged when the rear wall of the structure caved in.
Sean Courtney, a friend of business owners Chad and Morganne Parsons, said the couple's insurance company will not cover the damage. Courtney has set up an Internet relief fund to help the couple.
"I'm trying to get as much attention as I can," Courtney said Thursday. "I'm just trying to help them out."
