Preceptor Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Canaan United Methodist Church, 401 Roane St. President Charlotte Bowling will conduct the business meeting. Ann Henderson will be hostess and present her program. Refreshments will be served after the business meeting. Service will be tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, containers for Manna Meal and magazines for the veterans association.

Trail club hike
Kanawha Trail Club will sponsor a night hike at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on the Boundary Road in Kanawha State Forest. Meet at the top of the 4-mile mountain parking area. The hike is approximately 2 1/2 miles on an easy trail with a rolling terrain. Bring a light source.
Ham radio course, test
Charleston Area VE Group presents a technician cram course and testing for amateur radio licenses from 8 a.m. to noon March 8 at Frontier Communications Inc., 1500 MacCorkle Ave. SE. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Seating is limited. The course is free for all ages and exams cost $15 each.
