Anniversaries/homecomings:

Providence Baptist Church,: Rocky Step Road, Scott Depot, will have its homecoming services Sunday at the church. Sunday school will be held at 10 a.m. and the Sunday worship starts at 11 a.m. Dinner will be served at noon. Bring a covered dish. Singing will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday featuring Clarence Lewis. There will be no Sunday evening services.

Miscellaneous:

Abundant Life Bible College,: 1534 Washington St. E., will offer its next course, Homiletics I from 7 to 9 p.m. beginning Sept. 11 at the church. The cost of the six-week course is $100. Abundant Life Ministries,: 1534 Washington St. E., will have a Community Praise Carnival from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at the church. King of Glory International Ministries: will present its Second Annual "I Lived To Tell It'' Conference Sept. 7-9 at the church, 302 Delaware Ave. The schedule includes: Sept. 7, 7 p.m., Evangelist Dr. Yvonne Capehart of Pensacola, Fla.; Sept. 8, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Speakers include Carlotta Lynch of Morgantown, Renee Dixon of Morgantown and Gloria McDuffey of Henderson, N.C.; Sept. 9, 11 a.m., Pastor Tina M. Elk River Nazarene Choir and Drama Ministries: will sponsor a "Family Camp" interactive comedy dinner show at 6 p.m. Sept. 7; 6 p.m., Sept. 8; and 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the church, 143 Dutch Road. Doors open 30-minutes prior to each show. The cost is $10 per person. The 1940's drama is about the last night at Camp Awannahikealotta. Tickets include a live band, comedy and meal. Cross Lanes United Methodist Church: on Frontier Drive will sponsor a community End of Summer Bash at 6 p.m. today at the church. Children's and youth activities, inflatables, ice cream and other refreshments, giveaways and live bands will be featured.

Morris Memorial United Methodist Church: will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the church, located at 4615 MacCorkle Avenue in Kanawha City. Breakfast and lunch will also be available for purchase. 

Music:

The Believers: will be sing at 4 p.m. today during an outdoor sing at Holly Memorial Baptist Church on Spring Hill Mountain in South Charleston. They will also sing at 7 p.m. today at Red Oak Community Church on Red Oak Drive in Nitro during a song and praise service. On Aug. 26 they will sing at 7 p.m. at Shiloh Independent Baptist Church on Steel Ridge Road in Putnam County.

There will be an outdoor gospel sing today at 4 p.m. today on the grounds of Set Free Ministries. The church is located 7/10 mile from the light in Cross Lanes toward Rock Branch, and 5/10 mile from 40th street back toward Cross Lanes. Featured groups are New Journey, The Tignors and the Set Free Ministry singers. Bring your lawn chair.
