Humphreys United Methodist Church in Sissonville: will sponsor a two-day rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and on Oct. 6. Rummage sale items only will be available on Friday. The Oct. 6 sale will include rummage sale items and food. Food includes hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans and desserts. Food orders can be eaten in or carried out.
Institute Church of the Nazarene Pastor's Anniversary Committee: will have a baked steak and gravy dinner for sale from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the church activity building, 208 Washington Ave., Institute. Rite Aid Pharmacy will offer flu, shingles, whooping cough, Hepatitis and pneumonia shots. All major insurance cards are accepted. Without insurance, the cost per shot is $27.99 cash. Bureau for Public Health will offer private HIV testing. The 16th Annual Singing in the Valley Gospel Sing: will be held 7 p.m. Thursday in the Valley Park Community Center, located off W.Va. 34 in Hurricane. Singers will be the Singing Cookes and the Cooke Brothers from Kingsport, Tenn. The Cookes are celebrating 50 years of singing ministry this year. Concessions will be available beginning at 5 p.m. An offering will be received for the singers.
Mount Olivet Music Convention's: Annual Session will be held today and Sunday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 1757 10th Ave., Huntington, where the Rev. Reginald Hill is host pastor. Today's youth session starts at 10 a.m. and a prayer breakfast will be held. The general young session starts at 4 p.m. today. The general adult session starts at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Dinner will be served after the morning service. All choirs, dance teams and praise teams are welcome. Charles Cole is president, Lyn Smith is vice president and the Rev. Vincent Coleman is moderator of the session.

Lovelace has been featured on the Gaither Videos, was voted instrumentalist of the year, and is an award-winning songwriter. Admission is free. A love offering will be received. Revivals:
Revival services: will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday and continue through Oct. 6 at Fisher Memorial Church. The Rev. Stewart is evangelist and there will be special singing nightly. The church is located 1/2 mile on Dudden Road off Goldtown Exit of Interstate 77.
Florida Street Baptist Church,: 531 Rear Florida Street, Milton, will have revival services at 7 p.m. nightly, Monday through Friday at the church. Gordon Rutherford will preach and there will be singing nightly. Herman Dingess will preach at the 11 a.m. Sunday morning worship service. Evening worship begins at 6 p.m. with the church singers/choir singing and Pastor Jason C. Black preaching.
